Resistance thermometers, also called resistance temperature detectors (‘RTD’s), are sensors used to measure temperature by correlating the resistance of the RTD element with temperature All RTDs are manufactured with class A bulbs with a tolerance of +/- 0.15C, in a 2, 3 or 4-wire configuration. RTDs offer high accuracies and stability over the temperature range -200 to 600 degrees celcius.
